Safelite Group, Inc., a subsidiary of Belron, is an automotive glass and claims management company based in Columbus, Ohio. The company is composed of four major business operations that include automotive glass fulfillment services, operating under the trade names Auto Glass Specialists, Elite Auto Glass, Diamond Triumph Glass and Safelite AutoGlass; windshield manufacturing; and Safelite Solutions. Auto Glass Specialists operates in Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Elite Auto Glass operates in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Washington, Wyoming and Southern California. Safelite AutoGlass operates in all 50 states.
Prior to being purchased by Belron, Safelite had been owned by J.P. Morgan- A result of the company's 1997 bankruptcy filing.
Safelite also owns Cindy Rowe Auto Glass, Auto Glass Store, and Nationwide Auto Glass
Safelite Glass Corp. has a manufacturing and distribution facility in Enfield, NC. The manufacturing facility serves Auto Glass Specialists, Elite Auto Glass and Safelite AutoGlass and the customers of Belron US's wholesale operations, Service AutoGlass.
Safelite closed their original manufacturing facility in Wichita KS sometime around 2005.[1]
